Exciting First Results with ORCA OA Usage Reporting for Extrica
Helotes, Texas — 28th October 2024 — Extrica, a leading provider of innovative Open Access scientific research publishing solutions for academic and research institutions, is thrilled to announce its partnership with Scholarly iQ to integrate ORCA capabilities into its platform. This collaboration will empower Extrica and stakeholders in the academic community with transparent COUNTER processed usage metrics for trusted reporting and insights.
The ORCA reporting tool from Scholarly iQ provided Extrica with a simple, self-service implementation for tracking user engagement and interests, enabling more informed decision-making and strategic planning. By signing up for ORCA, Extrica has access to comprehensive reporting functionalities embedded with trusted COUNTER processed data and integration with the leading IPInfo database of organisations and locations by IP address. In the first month of reporting ORCA has provided:
- Item level analytics of over 5,000 articles across 18 titles
- COUNTER processed metrics for over 23,000 Unique Item Requests
- Global reach across 146 countries
- Attribution to over 2,000 educational organisations and a further 5,000 businesses worldwide (not including hosting and ISP providers)
